As you embark on your short-term mission, be armed by the necessary tools. An essential tool in your mission is the word of God.
The word of God is infallible with no error. It is pure, and it is a shield to all who believe.
As you head out, this word will complete you, it being the authoritative and only source of the absolute divine.
There will be spiritual needs while you are out on the mission and God’s word is entirely sufficient.
The amazing part of the gospel is the promises that God gives you. God will accomplish each one of them if you obey and trust the word.
These verses form part of the favorites that you can carry with you as you set off.
• Mark 1:15
• Acts 1:8
• Psalms 119:133-136
• 1 Peter 5:10
Mark 1: 15
The Lord commands you to go out into the world and preach the gospel to all nations. If you have been called and answered the divine call, make the whole world hear of the mighty works, promises, and comfort that comes with the knowledge of knowing Christ. Your calling is a command from the highest!
So you are not sure if going out for the mission is the right call, you are scared about the whole process. Be encouraged because, in this verse, God promises you the power that comes from the Holy Spirit to go with you. You will receive the Holy Spirit that will guide and walk with you in the entire mission period. Isn’t this encouraging?
Kind David cried to the Lord to order his steps. As you embark on your mission, pray for the Lord to direct your ways, order your single step while delivering you from oppression and enemies. God’s face will shine upon your path. He will teach you His ways and keep you from harm as you spread the gospel to the ends of the world.
1 Peter 5: 10
Things are not always rosy and smooth while on the mission. There are many challenges that you will face in your calling which will discourage you ad break your spirit. In this verse, God encourages you that after that suffering He will restore your strength, you will be strong, firm and steadfast.
There is a condition though, you should not give up during these low moments but hold on, trust God and He will restore you. The amazing part is that Jesus Christ our Lord suffered too, but at the end of the day He emerged a victor to His father glory in heaven.
The Bible and its content should be your weapon
Spreading the word creates a battlefield between God and the devil. Let the bible verses be reminders of the battle you are fighting.
These verses will encourage and push you.
At the end of the day, as you lead souls to our heavenly home, you will be content with what you have achieved.
Without a doubt, you will receive a pat on the back from God telling you ‘well done my son or daughter.’
